About Jason
Hi I'm Jason. I graduated from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, with a MEng in Engineering and worked on various projects in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, with my Master's Thesis focused on carbon nanotube reactor design using FC-CVD, blending thermodynamics, mechanics, and chemistry. I have also worked as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, the top defence company in the world.
I have been tutoring for over 5 years, with over 300+ hours of Oxbridge interview prep (Engineering, Maths, CS). I proudly helped more than 5 students achieve offers to Oxbridge in the 2023–2024 cycle. My service covers Oxbridge Admissions & Interview Preparation, including ESAT, BPHO and other competitions. I also offer the highest quality teaching service for GCSE and A Level content, and have helped many students achieve top grades.

I cater to both students who are struggling with fundamental concepts, and top-end students aiming for an A*. My style of approach is to take even those students who are struggling at C or B level and help them understand concepts so well, that they jump to A* level. I try to be down to earth and explain concepts in ways that young students can understand best, which always receives good feedback. Lesson structure usually consists of: Pre-lesson preparation: specific videos or resources that you can look at quickly and prepare you for the lesson Lesson: Usually 1 hour, Online Meeting, I will share my screen and annotate with a tablet. If you have a tablet, I often encourage the student to participate in writing answers. Recorded Lesson: If you wish, the lesson can be recorded and sent to you after (this is not used for any other purpose without permission) Post Lesson Feedback & Homework: Homework will be distributed alongside answers. Do it if you want and you can freely discuss it with me outside and inside lesson time.

Perfect! Jason helped me understand the entire Cambridge and Imperial College application process and greatly improved my confidence in mock interviews. He gave me lots of advice on interview technique, and the experience was extremely useful, although the content was sometimes very challenging. I was also surprised to be given extra help from other PhD tutors whom he introduced me to, which further developed my confidence when facing unknown interviewers with different styles.
Jason even managed to predict a topic in my Imperial College interview that I hadn’t learned until I took lessons with him, for which I am extremely grateful. I would recommend students try to work with Jason as early as possible and have as many lessons as they can to make full use of his resources and tutors. I looked elsewhere and couldn’t find a service like this, especially at such a reasonable price.View more reviews

I studied Engineering with Jason at the University of Cambridge. He has been tutoring for over 6 years now and got some students into Oxbridge and helped lots of people with their A Level and GCSEs.
I highly recommend Jason as a personal tutor. He has a wide range of knowledge of the Oxbridge application process and gave detailed step by step guidance that helped my son get an offer to Fitzwilliam college for Engineering!
