About Joshua

Hey there! My name is Joshua Vieira, and I'm a student at St. John's Sixth Form. I have a deep passion for mathematics, and I love exploring new ways to challenge myself mathematically. One of the things that excites me the most is sharing my knowledge with others. That's why I've decided to become a tutor. As someone who also enjoys playing the piano, I understand the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, and I bring these qualities to my tutoring sessions. For me, tutoring isn't just about helping students get good grades; it's about showing them the joy and excitement that comes with mastering a new concept or solving a challenging problem. About the lesson

As a top-performing A-level student with predicted grades of A*A*A*A for A2 Level and having achieved AAAB at AS Level, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that I can bring to the table as a tutor. What sets me apart from other tutors is my unique approach to teaching. I have first-hand experience with the struggles that students face when trying to master complex concepts. As a result, I am well-equipped to understand where students may be struggling and to provide them with tailored explanations and guidance. I know that each student is unique and I work closely with them to develop a personalized learning plan that caters to their specific needs and goals.

Furthermore, I believe that learning should be an engaging and interactive experience. I use a range of teaching methods such as real-life examples, simulations, and interactive quizzes to make learning more fun and interesting for my students. My aim is to help my students develop a deep understanding of the subject matter, rather than just memorizing facts and formulas.

In addition, I want to emphasize that my lessons are not only aimed at Cambridge but I am open to teaching IEB students as well. I am equipped to tutor students from grade 7-11 and anything below and including AS Level. Lastly, as a fluent English speaker, I will be teaching in English and look forward to helping students excel in their academic pursuits.
