About Sybilla
Before taking my deferred place to study Art History at Cambridge in 2019, I am using my gap year to gain experience in different working environments and see more of the world. Having moved from City of London School to Westminster, I have been exposed to a wide range of teaching styles; from learning in a highly prescriptive way (GCSE) to the totally independent (A-Level), I feel able to assist pupils in a way suited to their needs. My academic trajectory has not always been smooth; I found the GCSE system challenging but was able to overcome this and achieve top results. I feel this has added hugely to my understanding of which study methods work, as well as my appreciation of a good tutor!
I have always had a passion and talent for humanities, and would love to help other students share this. I am about to start volunteering at the Rugby Portobello trust as an English tutor, and aim to take part in the TeachFirst program once I have gained my degree.
