About Katie
I study Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, and with many years helping friends through GCSEs and A Levels under my belt, I have decided to turn my hand to tutoring professionally! With 10 A*s and GCSE and 4 A*s at A level, I have a deep understanding of many concepts, and a knack for rephrasing even the most complicated concepts until they’re easily understandable.

I have always found the best way to build strong foundations for future learning, and to ensure success in examinations, is to understand topics from a logical standpoint.
I will happily approach any topics proposed by the student, so we can really focus in on the required topics. If there are no specific problem areas, I find that past papers are by a mile the best way to practice and troubleshoot, so will work through them, taking apart each question so it is easily understandable.
I find that most senior school / college exam papers have recurring themes which, once identified, can be practiced until they are what some may call ‘easy marks’ when the time rolls around.

My rates are as follows:
- I start at a base rate of £10 an hour for tutoring below GCSE level;
- £15 an hour for GCSE level;
- £20 an hour for A Level
- £25 an hour for A Level Further Maths
