About Charlotte
Hi, I’m Charlotte! I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion, and I’m now completing my Master’s at King’s College London.
My undergraduate degree involved intensive study of Philosophy, Theology, Ethics and Religion, with a particular emphasis on critical analysis, academic argument and essay writing. This means I can support students not only with learning course content, but with the analytical skills needed to evaluate arguments and produce high-level written work.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I adapt my teaching to the individual student. I particularly enjoy taking ideas that initially seem complicated or abstract and working through them until they feel intuitive and manageable.
Having studied these subjects at Cambridge, I can also support students who want to push beyond the syllabus, whether they are aiming for top GCSE or A-Level grades or considering studying Philosophy, Theology or a related subject.

Philosophy and Theology can be challenging because getting top marks requires more than simply knowing the content — you need to understand competing arguments, evaluate them critically and communicate your own position clearly.
My lessons are tailored to the individual student and can cover Philosophy, Theology, Ethics and Religious Studies. We can work through difficult concepts and thinkers, strengthen subject knowledge, plan and improve essays, or focus specifically on exam technique and past-paper questions.
I particularly focus on helping students understand how to construct a strong argument: developing a clear thesis, using scholars and evidence effectively, considering objections and reaching a persuasive conclusion.
For GCSE and A-Level students, lessons can be tailored to your specific exam board and assessment criteria. My aim is to make complex ideas genuinely understandable rather than relying on memorisation, while giving you a clear strategy for turning that understanding into success.
