About John
Hi! My name is John, and I am a graduate from the University of Cambridge where I studied Land Economy (Law, Economics, and the Environment). I achieved first-class honors upon completion of my degree and am now an incoming trainee solicitor at a prestigious US law firm in London.
Being raised in Indonesia and Australia, I am attuned to the unique challenges of applying to Oxbridge as an international student. Besides English, I am also fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin, which has enabled me to connect with applicants from different linguistic backgrounds.
At the high school level (VCE), I completed a diverse portfolio of subjects (Chemistry, Economics, English, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, Mathematics) and am willing to advise students who share a rounded academic background in preparing a successful application to Oxbridge.

As a tutor, I am enthusiastic about helping motivated students reach their aspirations in applying to Oxbridge. I have previously mentored applicants and have worked closely with many prospective students during immersion workshops/programs at Cambridge. Across these experiences, I prioritized being attentive and responsive to every student’s individual profile, which allows me to create effective lesson plans and strong engagement with clients. I am committed to offering end-to-end support (Personal Statement, written submissions, interview preparation) for current and prospective applicants, alongside providing up-to-date insights as a recent graduate (July 2025).
