About Tom
I am a first year undergraduate studying Natural Sciences with modules in maths, cell biology, chemistry and evolution. My A-levels were in maths, further maths, chemistry and biology. I have experience teaching maths as I ran the maths clinic at school and gave four classes on irrational numbers to year 10-12 students.

My teaching method uses lots of examples to explain the principles and methods behind each topic. From my experience, I believe this is the best way both to gain an understanding of new ideas as well as to consolidate knowledge. I approach each topic first by outlining the broad ideas and linking these back to other topics. I then methodically work through the topic using examples in a way that is easy to follow. Finally, I set questions to have a go at and work through the solutions if needed.
