About Will
I want to teach and engage with young people using music as the focal point, as I believe the more musically literate a population, the happier and more fulfilled it becomes.
I am a freelance professional tenor singing across London and the South of England, both as a soloist, and as a Lay Clerk including St Paul's Cathedral and St John's College Chapel Choir, Cambridge.
I am currently completing the Music MPhil at Cambridge University and have a special interest in historical and ethnomusicology. Away from academic practice, I am interested in the English musical renaissance, German lieder, and the operas of Richard Wagner.
Prior to Cambridge, I was a professional Lay Clerk at Gloucester Cathedral, participating in daily, civic, and state services, alongside radio broadcasts and solo oratorio work both in-house and with choral societies around Gloucestershire.

I believe in a well-rounded musical education, and believe that a musical education can act as a lens through which to view and access other academic disciplines. I teach up to A level, and ABRSM music theory from grades 1 to 5. As a Cambridge Masters student, I take pride and find enjoyment in adding a strong musicological grounding to any aspect of my music tuition, but most importantly, strive for fun and academic success.
