About Yemi
I love finding clear, practical ways to explain complex ideas. I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. My career has included roles in finance and renewable energy start-ups, where I’ve worked as a product manager and data scientist. Tutoring gives me the chance to share my enthusiasm for learning, whilst helping students achieve exam success and showing that maths can be rewarding and even fun once the pieces start to fit together.

I take a personalised approach to teaching, as students learn in different ways and at their own pace.
I start students on past papers as early as possible to build confidence and exam technique from the outset. My aim is to develop students' problem-solving skills so they can approach any hard and unfamiliar questions that may appear in their exams.
My duty as an effective tutor is to break down complex topics into manageable chunks, to guide students through solutions and to create an atmosphere where students feel supported and grow in confidence.
