About Brian
I have over twenty years' experience in the classroom, and am an experienced online further maths tutor and problem-solving teacher for MEI, for whom I have written online materials and articles that you can find on their Integral website.
I have an eclectic background: a Cambridge BA Hons in mathematics, a career as a violinist (you can hear me playing Bach on Spotify), and a Cornell PhD in history of music. All this experience gives me a pretty comprehensive insight into the resilience needed to meet apparently insurmountable challenges, and helps me to help you develop robust strategies for success.

My teaching is all about insight and understanding. The skills then follow naturally, and your ability to successfully solve unfamiliar problems is easily equal to the challenges of your exams. If you are studying maths or further maths A level, or if you are preparing for one of the various university entrance exams such as STEP or MAT, you will find your enjoyment, confidence, and creativity strengthen by leaps and bounds.
