Cambridge Graduate; In-School, Home and Online Experience - Maths tutor with Heather

Heather was our first Hull based Tutor and was with us for the 2016 / 2017 academic year. She provided In-School Tutoring in Maths and Science.

She is academically gifted and has a sparkling personality; a brilliant Ambassador for the Yipiyap brand!

I was Heather’s director of Studies at the University of Cambridge for two years whilst she studied for her Natural Sciences degree. Heather was an excellent student and an absolute pleasure to teach. She is extremely hard working and is always eager to thoroughly understand each topic. Heather responds very well to advice and criticism and she has a mature and measured writing style. Heather’s teachers across each of her subjects throughout the 3 years of her course have described her as intelligent, enthusiastic, diligent and an asset to her classes. Heather is cheery, outgoing and personable and is a popular and active member of college, particularly in her role as JCR outreach officer. Heather is also very considerate to others and is popular with her peers. Heather is polite and well-spoken and gives very good, clear and confident presentations on difficult topics. Heather is very punctual and has never missed a deadline. She is meticulous and methodical in her approach to work and was one of the most organised students in her year. Heather is extremely good at explaining difficult scientific concepts in an accessible yet accurate way and her love for science is apparent in her work. She is patient and caring and I believe that she would make an excellent tutor.
