About Alex
GCSE results: 10A*s, A-Level results: 4 A*s in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further maths. I studied Natural Sciences in Cambridge before starting a PhD (also in Cambridge) researching the fluid mecjsnics of magma chambers. During my PhD I've had experience teaching undergraduate students.

I will ask what the student is currently focussing on and/or having difficulty with in class. I find giving a general overview to the subject, talking through any sticking points, and then working through exam style questions is the most effective approach. However, I am very flexible to what the student needs help with and what method works for them, whether that's helping them to understand the concepts or training them in exam technique.
