About Jonathan
Hi! I’m Jonny, a 4th year Engineering (MEng) student at the University of Cambridge. I studied a wide range of engineering disciplines in the 2 years before specialising in Computer and Information engineering with Mechanical and Environmental modules. I am also an IET Diamond Jubilee scholar. In my spare time, I play trumpet in a jazz band, enjoy running and squash, and watch Formula 1.

Hi! I’m Jonny, a 4th year Engineering (MEng) student at the University of Cambridge. I studied a wide range of engineering disciplines in the 2 years before specialising in Computer and Information engineering with Mechanical and Environmental modules. I am also an IET Diamond Jubilee scholar. I have 4 years' experience preparing students for Engineering and Physics Oxbridge admissions and am enthusiastic about tutoring students at both GCSE and A-level. I believe it is crucial to form a deep understanding of core concepts, which complex problem-solving methods can then be built on. I typically offer 1 hour online tutoring sessions with an interactive whiteboard. Inspired by the Oxbridge Interview and supervision style, my teaching is more of a conversation than a lecture and is highly personalised. I aim to challenge and support my students to get to the answer independently, with guidance from me rather than being told what to do. I believe this is not only a great method for success in exams, but also personal, engaging, and fun! I tutor: Oxbridge admissions – personal statement, ESAT/ENGAA and PAT assessments, and interview preparation. A level - Maths, Further Maths and Physics. GCSE - Maths and Science.
