About Shivam
Hi, I'm Shivam! As a current Cambridge Economist and former captain of the England Juniors Chess Team at various international tournaments, I've always enjoyed the systematic process, methodical process of learning new things and this is why I love teaching and sharing my knowledge; I love being able to see when my students are able to improve lesson by lesson; when they are able to grasp difficult concepts from the ground up and appreciate them on an academic and intellectual level.

Due to my strongly analytical nature and background, I am able to break down key concepts and complex ideas clearly with my students; I always go through processes step by step to ensure a deep, fundamental understanding of the content.
I gauge students' abilities and tailor lessons to their needs, setting a pace that is comfortable for them and reinforcing previously covered ideas every lesson to ensure strong retention, along with regular feedback so they are able to monitor their own progress.
I use a mixture of deep dives into content as well as regular practice questions to ensure a balance between fundamental understanding and confidence in applying new learnings to exam-style scenarios.
