About Juan
Hello everyone! My name is Juan, and I am a DELTA-qualified teacher with over 5 years of teaching experience. I hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK and I have worked as a teacher and academic manager across different language schools in the UK. I am passionate about my job and I love getting to know my students and building good rapport with them. The most satisfying part of teaching (apart from engaging with the students during the lessons!) is being able to witness the progress students make and seeing how they manage to attain their objectives, especially when this means they will be able to study in university or land a better job.

I like to implement a communicative topic-based approach in my lessons, discussing a topic, introducing students to spoken or oral texts they can respond to, to then work on specific systems or skills. I believe that there needs to be enough time for students to put their knowledge into practice in every lesson, but also time for the teacher to point out what needs to be improved so the students develop a better language awareness over time.
