As a Cambridge and AP College Board student with a 4.3 core GPA, I understand how challenging math and chemistry can feel for many students. My goal as a tutor is to make difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them down step-by-step and adapting lessons to each student’s learning style. I focus on building both confidence and problem-solving skills so students can succeed independently, not just memorize information for a test.
My teaching approach is interactive and personalized. I explain concepts clearly, work through examples alongside students, and then guide them through practice problems while encouraging questions throughout the lesson. I also connect topics to real-world situations whenever possible to make learning more engaging and easier to remember. I believe patience, consistency, and encouragement are key to helping students improve academically.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material or identifying areas of difficulty. From there, I introduce or reteach concepts in a simple and organized way before practicing problems together. I then provide independent practice with support when needed and finish the lesson with a short recap to reinforce understanding and identify what should be reviewed next time.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am a current high-achieving student who understands modern coursework, testing expectations, and the challenges students face today. Because I am still actively studying advanced classes myself, I can explain concepts in a relatable and student-friendly way that feels less intimidating.
