About Reza

I am a California credentialed mathematics teacher and currently teach high school mathematics in the Los Angeles area. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Mathematics and have more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience and 20 years of tutoring experience.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles, from elementary mathematics through advanced high school courses. I have taught and tutored Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and other advanced mathematics, as well as SAT and ACT Math preparation.

I am patient, supportive, and committed to creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn. I take pride in explaining mathematics clearly and finding different ways to approach a concept when a student is struggling.

My combination of professional classroom teaching and extensive one-on-one tutoring experience allows me to understand what schools expect while also providing the individualized attention that is often difficult to receive in a classroom.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s level, learning style, and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. I explain difficult ideas clearly, break problems into manageable steps, and help students develop confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

I tutor students from Grades 3–12, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, AP/advanced mathematics, and SAT/ACT Math preparation.

Whether a student is struggling with the fundamentals, trying to improve a grade, preparing for an important exam, or aiming for an A in an advanced math course, I adapt each lesson to their individual needs.

As a current high school mathematics teacher and California credentialed educator, I understand both the mathematics curriculum and the challenges students face in the classroom. My goal is not only to help students get the correct answer, but to help them understand why it works and become confident mathematicians.
