About Sarah
My name is Sarah McCammon. I am an Elementary Education Major with minors in Creative Writing and TESOL. I love working with kids and have had years of experience tutoring, nannying, and writing books on the side. This year, I have been volunteering at the Spring Creek Elementary, assisting with Spanish translation. Since my mission in Perú, I have been passionate about helping students of all backgrounds receive the education they need. I specialize in the English subject. I won my school district's English Sterling Scholarship in 12th grade, published several poems, children's books, and won awards for my short stories. I offer reading, writing, and English learning sessions for K-12 students who speak both English or Spanish. I am willing to tutor through Zoom or in person at the local Provo library. In a typical first session, I will assess the student's individual needs and discuss a lesson plan with their mentor. Lesson plans are created and adjusted for the student. An example 5th-grade writing lesson plan would consist of a fun writing exercise, workshop, and need-based grammar lesson. Depending on the lesson and your schedule, each session is 30 minutes to an hour. My goal is to build the students' confidence in their abilities and inspire joy in learning! Details
The first lesson is free. After the first consultation, the rest of the lesson plans are 15 dollars an hour. If you are living outside the United States and we have a lesson over Zoom, I will only charge 10 dollars an hour.
