About Tamara
I am born and raised in Montreal, Canada. I speak both English and French fluently. I am a Business graduate and have been tutoring new comers and peers in English for over 5 years. I have recently started teaching larger classes. I am currently teaching English to refugees in Istanbul. I co-teach two classes, the first is younger students and the other is adults. I also teach students one on one - these students either need advanced lessons or require additional support outside their classes. Through lesson planning and getting experience teaching larger classes, I am realizing my passion to teach English. English has become essential worldwide and I am fortunate enough to be a native speaker. I want to grant others the opportunity to learn the language in order for them to get the best opportunities in life.

I work with beginners by first teaching the foundations of English. I utilize Ellii - an English learning site, as well as creating my own exercises to ensure every lesson is engaging. We cover adverbs, adjectives, nouns, pronouns, etc. During the lessons, students will be asked to actively participate, allowing me to assess which students need additional help or require a different approach in teaching.
