About Shelah Mae

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in Social Science. A certified TESOL, TEYL and TEFL I've been teaching English for more than four years now and I can also teach Tagalog or Filipino. I taught students of all ages and different level from Beginner to advance. I had training on how to handle adult and kids students. I can help discover learners preferred learning style, can be use techniques that will improve the rate and quality of learning. Constant conversation can help thinking critically of what they see and experience. Meeting people in one of my great skills. I enjoy learning culture from different countries. I can easily adapt new environment and situations. In short, I am friendly and easily get along to everyone. I always make sure the my student feel relaxed and comfortable during the class. I am very much happy to see you in my future class dear students. Thank you

About the lesson

I can work with students of all ages and level from beginner to advance who are willing to learn based on their preferred learning style. My teaching method is directly done entirely in the target language. It sees language as a complex of grammatical rules which are to be learned one at a time in a set order. Learning is largely by translation to and from the target language. New language is first heard and extensively drilled before being seen in its written form. TPR "Total Physical Response" method stresses the importance of aural comprehension. The focus of the teaching is on the completion of a task which in itself is interesting to the learners. Learners use the language they already have to complete the task and there is little correction of errors. I can also teach Tagalog / Filipino language. I can be your best assistance in learning fun and the most exciting learning your journey.
