About Wendy
I am a dedicated math tutor with more than 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy. My teaching is highly interactive, and I often rely on software like GeoGebra and Desmos. These tools allow me to create visual lessons in geometry and trigonometry that spark curiosity. I am passionate about teaching spatial reasoning and developing my students’ ability to see math in pictures. Proof-writing is another area I enjoy guiding learners through, as it strengthens logic and clarity. I also connect abstract reasoning to real-world geometric modeling to make lessons meaningful. I am skilled at visualizing complex topics so that learners of all levels can grasp them. My explanations are adaptable and student-focused. I try to balance rigor with creativity to keep lessons both challenging and enjoyable. Over time, students become more confident and independent in their problem-solving. In my teaching, I emphasize the importance of understanding concepts before applying them. My work focuses on abstract algebra, number theory, proofs, and advanced theoretical mathematics. These areas require not only skill but also patience and reflection. I teach with a calm approach that allows students to think deeply. Rather than rushing through exercises, I help them see the structure behind problems. Proof-writing becomes a natural part of this process, showing students how to express ideas clearly. I also integrate discussions about the elegance of groups, rings, and number systems. Many of my students are DIY learners and researchers who value independence. I support them in finding their own methods of tackling complex theorems. This balance of guidance and freedom creates both challenge and comfort. Over time, students learn to view advanced math as both logical and creative. They become more confident in reasoning and expression. My approach encourages them to explore the beauty of mathematics at a deeper level.
