About Vojtech

Hi, my name is Vojtech. I studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bristol, so I have passion for all things Maths. I am looking forward to not only helping you get the grades you want, but also explore how Maths connects the world around us!

I led over 50 lessons with the Tutor the Nation charity, where tutored disadvantaged students in 1-on-1 sessions in Maths, Science and Computer Science at A-Level and GCSE.
This experience highlighted to me the importance of adapting my teaching approach to suit individual learning styles and diverse needs. It allowed me to to build up a solid portfolio of resources and materials to create engaging, impactful lessons that cater to a wide range of academic abilities.
Something I am particularly proud of was being able to help an especially hard working student achieve an A in A level Computer Science.

I have also spent time assisting at local after-school clubs for Primary School children, across the school year. This was an excellent opportunity to manage engaging, inclusive group activities in a dynamic, less-formal environment. It has also taught me a great deal about building rapport with younger pupils!

Lastly, I was recently able to take my passion abroad, having spent a month in Africa in Tanzania, volunteering as a teacher at a local Primary school! It was an unforgettable experience which reinforced my commitment to creating a supportive environment where diverse learners can thrive.

About the lesson

I enjoy making learning activities more enjoyable, by creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. I believe genuine learning and understanding comes from curiosity, patience, and feeling safe to make mistakes.

Something I think is exceptionally important in making new complex concepts understandable, is showcasing them in the real world. As someone who studied Computer Science, I have an in-depth understanding of the various applications of such abstract ideas. Making these connections and showing how these ideas "make the world go round" is where I believe the difference between a great and a truly memorable lesson lies.
