About Ledian
Hi! I’m Ledian, a BSc Finance and Financial Technology undergraduate studying at the University of Southampton. When I am not deep into university spreadsheets or analysing markets, you can usually find me creating digital content, editing videos, and managing my YouTube channel.
I completely understand that maths can sometimes feel like a totally foreign language (and as someone who speaks three languages, I definitely know that feeling!). That is exactly why I love tutoring. Having recently navigated the GCSEs myself and scored a Grade 9 in Mathematics, I know the exact hurdles students face today and, more importantly, the specific techniques needed to jump over them.
I am a big believer that learning shouldn't be stressful or boring. My goal is to bring the same upbeat energy and clear, step-by-step explanations that I use in my videos directly to our tutoring sessions. Whether we are tackling tricky algebra or wrapping our heads around geometry, I am here to make the process engaging, straightforward, and actually kind of fun. Hi, I'm Ledian, a BSc Finance and Financial Technology undergraduate. Having recently sat the exams myself and achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, I know exactly what the current syllabus demands and where students typically drop valuable marks. My lessons are tailored specifically for KS3 and GCSE students (both Foundation and Higher tiers) who want to boost their grades and build genuine confidence.
My Teaching Methodology
Maths can often feel abstract and intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Drawing on my experience running a successful YouTube channel and creating digital explainer content, my teaching style is highly visual and focused on clarity. I specialise in taking complex, multi-step equations and breaking them down into simple, manageable stages.
Instead of just memorising formulas, my approach focuses heavily on exam technique. We will regularly dissect past paper questions together so you learn how to read the underlying logic of a question and extract the maximum amount of marks, even if you get stuck on the final calculation. I provide a relaxed, highly encouraging environment where making mistakes is celebrated as the best way to learn.
Typical Lesson Structure
A standard lesson lasts for 60 minutes. We typically begin with a 10-minute recap of previous topics to ensure knowledge retention, followed by 35 minutes of breaking down a new core concept with visual, interactive examples. We spend the final 15 minutes applying this new knowledge directly to real exam questions to lock in the learning.
