About Lwazi

I am Lwazi Thobani, originally from the Eastern Cape. I am currently studying at the University of Cape Town. I am a brother to many, and my mother's favorite child. My main hobbies and interests include walking on the beach and meditation, sitting by the lake or river to enjoy the beautiful view of nature and streams, walking long distances to clear my mind, and reflecting on myself as well. I also love food and recently I started watching horse-riding or shows. My love for tutoring started when I was in grade 11. At my former high school, I had to put in the effort to study so that I could help others as we did not have a mathematics teacher. The more I practiced, the more I fell in love with mathematics, including other subjects as well. So, since I was always practicing by myself, I created simpler ways to study and also my own ways of explaining concepts. For me, mathematics is more than just a subject. It is a tool that increased my confidence which helped me to even do better in other subjects as well.

About the lesson

First of all, when helping a student, I will also provide my own notes so that the student will have a variety of explanations to choose from. I am a logical tutor so I like to also provide how the aspects come about. So, one will also be able to receive such breakdowns if they so wish. I am not only a tutor but also a mentor. I have experience in this. I have been through so many difficulties and I have managed to overcome them. Thus, I believe that my mentorship will be useful so that student can get to where they want to be and beyond.
