About Grace
I am working towards a PhD Economics and want to gain experience tutoring before I start teaching lectures to gain insight into student journeys and structures of lessons. I want to understand how best students learn, how to boost confidence and how to improve my explanations of problems.

Having tutored my cousin and run a mathematics booster club at a primary school, I have experience leading students through challenging problems, explaining answers and inspiring high motivation.
I like to start sessions with a small quiz to get creativity flowing. Then I ask students what problems they are finding with current work. We attack those first and work through meticulously until we solve the problem. I then set questions and ask students to solve these on their own. After this we go through again any issues and I explain the solution on paper. At the end of the session I ask students to tell me anything they want to work on and anything I can do better.
I have gained a first class BSc Economics and a merit in MSc Economics at LSE. I am a prospective PhD Economics student. I also have a maths A Level and gained 2 A*’s and 7 A’s at GCSE.
I can teach a range of subjects up to GCSE level, specialising in maths and economics. I am very excited to support students through stressful educational journeys, since I have been through all emotions before. I want to inspire students to slow down when faced with problems, have confidence in themselves and deepen their knowledge in interesting subject matters.
