About Chloe

I am a passionate violin tutor with 7 years of teaching and professional music experience, dedicated to helping students grow as skilled, confident, and expressive musicians. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners exploring foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been helping students progress from struggling with technique, posture, or stage confidence to performers capable of playing with skill, emotion, and interpretation.

My teaching emphasises strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also nurturing creativity, musical expression, and interpretation. I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to ensure students gain a complete understanding of music.

I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment. Teaching violin allows me to inspire confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music in every student.

About the lesson

I teach violin using a methodology emphasising motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aiming to develop technically skilled, expressive, and confident musicians. Each lesson is structured to balance technical exercises, creative exploration, and performance opportunities, tailored to the student’s skill level and goals.

Motivation is at the core of my approach. I guide students to set goals, monitor progress, and celebrate milestones, fostering engagement, self-confidence, and perseverance. Communication ensures lessons are interactive, collaborative, and supportive, providing students the space to ask questions, share challenges, and explore ideas.

Creativity is integrated into every lesson. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises help students develop a personal artistic voice and deepen their emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, cultivating habits that support consistent growth and long-term success.

Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, giving students a holistic understanding of music. My methodology nurtures technical mastery, artistic expression, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.
