About Rutwij

I am a motivated and engaging tutor with lots of past experience tutoring and volunteering to help teach students excel at their 11+, KS3 and GCSE subjects. I specialise in mathematical subjects and have started my degree in Computing from Imperial College London and look forward to inspiring other students to learn and develop a passion for any subject they are interested in! I aim to ensure all my students can also thrive at all levels during their education and are fascinated by the beauty and depth of the subject - instead of just being able to pass an exam.

About the lesson

In all my lessons, I ensure students understand the concepts behind each topic and the method to get to the answer instead of just memorising solutions by rote. Lessons consist of a starter activity recapping work from the previous lesson, followed by the main body where I work together with the student on particularly difficult topics and dissect various problems to gain a deeper understanding as to the methodology of solving them. Then, the student does exam questions before concluding the lesson with a reflection task.
