About Amrin

Hi, I'm Amrin.

Helping people build confidence in their careers has always been something I've genuinely enjoyed. Long before I decided to offer employability mentoring, I found myself helping friends, family and colleagues with CVs, interview preparation and career decisions because I wanted them to feel more confident and prepared.

Over the years, I've realised there's a real gap between education and employment. Many talented young people leave school, college or university without ever being shown how to approach applications, interviews or the recruitment process with confidence. That's what inspired me to create mentoring that is practical, supportive and focused on real-world skills.

My goal is to help students understand and recognise their strengths and explore career paths that genuinely interest and motivate them, while also giving them the practical skills to succeed in a competitive job market. Building a fulfilling career starts with understanding yourself as much as understanding the recruitment process.

My approach is honest, approachable and personalised. For me, success is about helping young people discover their potential, make informed career decisions and build the confidence to create a career they can be proud of.

Watching someone grow in confidence and achieve something they didn't think was possible is the most rewarding part of what I do, and that's why I'm passionate about helping students take their first steps into the world of work.

About the lesson

My aim is to help bridge the gap between education and employment by giving students the practical knowledge, confidence and employability skills they need to succeed in today's competitive job market.

With experience across HR, recruitment, employee relations and career development, I've supported hiring and talent development at leading global organisations including Meta, Twitter (now X) and EY. I've reviewed thousands of CVs, interviewed candidates, partnered with hiring managers, developed employees in their first professional roles and led career development initiatives, giving me first-hand insight into what employers look for during recruitment and beyond. Unlike generic career advice, my mentoring is shaped by real experience hiring, developing and supporting employees within global organisations, giving students practical, relevant guidance they can apply with confidence.

My mentoring is personalised and tailored to each student's goals, whether you're a school leaver, sixth form, college or university student applying for apprenticeships, internships, placements, graduate schemes or your first professional role. Every session is designed around where you are and the skills, knowledge and strategy you need to take your next step.

A typical 90-minute online mentoring session gives us time to work through your goals in depth and may include:

* CV writing, reviews and personalised feedback, including UCAS personal statements
* Interview preparation and mock interviews
* LinkedIn profile optimisation
* Job search and application strategy
* Graduate scheme, apprenticeship and internship applications
* Career planning and employability skills
* Professional communication and confidence building
* Using AI effectively and ethically to improve CVs, prepare for interviews, research employers and strengthen applications while ensuring your work remains authentic and reflects your own skills and experience

Every session finishes with a personalised action plan, and I provide follow-up support to answer questions, review progress and help you put your learning into practice.

I provide honest careers guidance, practical employability coaching and real-world recruitment insight to help students become stronger, more confident candidates. My aim is to equip every student with the knowledge, skills and practical tools to navigate the recruitment process and make informed career decisions with confidence.
