About Livia
As a Brazilian from Santa Catarina who immigrated to the UK in 2022, I am entirely fluent in both Portuguese and English, allowing for an all-encompassing and engaging tutoring experience. I am familiar with the GCSE and A Level requirements, as I achieved an A* and A in both qualifications and experienced the system first hand. Furthermore, as a Portuguese native speaker, my cultural knowledge would allow for exciting lessons. Currently an Undergraduate in the University of Glasgow, my passion for language and culture remains present in my literature and film degree.

Your lessons with a Portuguese native speaker would be designed for your personal need and requirements. Whether your goal is achieving a GCSE, A level, beginning a new hobby, or simply practising your fluency - All are welcome! Lessons, if preferred, would focus not only on vocabulary, but also the cultural aspects of Portuguese and Brazilian culture, embracing the language fully. The belief that language is learnt through engagement with the media, literature, music, idioms, and the overarching culture of a country is essential. Your lessons would be curated around the current trends and historical aspects of the Portuguese language, as well as a maximum focus on listening, speaking, reading and translation in Brazilian Portuguese.
