About Rachel
I have a strong passion for science, education and helping people. I have a bachelor's degree from CU Boulder and am back in school with A's in statistics, microbiology, anatomy & physio, chemistry and biology. I have tutored my classmates ad well as high school and college students. I worked as a physical therapy tech for awhile, learning about the science of the human body and gaining valuable/relatable experience.

My teaching method is to be patient, encouraging and engaging with students. Using simple language and avoiding asking yes/no questions is important for successful tutoring. I do not like to give students the answer, especially right away. I like to watch the student work through questions and have them figure out as they go with guidance and helpful tips. I also like to ask the same question in multiple ways so they have lots of repetition and are forced to use critical thinking.

I know Rachel from when she was a class fitness instructor. She always led my favorite classes, and she was my favorite (out of all the other instructors) because of her teaching style. You can tell she really researched each workout, what body parts it would be affecting and why, and explained each movement in a very thorough but easy to comprehend manner. She's passionate about the subject matter, smart, and always had the right answers and recommendations to all my questions. If I were a student of any kind, I would recommend Rachel to help you grasp the topics.
