About Minato
I'm an upcoming student at Boston University! I'm half Japanese where I was born in Tokyo and raised in California, so I'm comfortable with both English and Japanese.
In my free time, I love playing video games, playing tennis, watching YouTube, and even studying Japanese :)

Hi! :) I focus on helping students actually use Japanese rather than just memorizing it. My lessons are designed for beginners who want to speak naturally to understand real conversations. Since I scored a 5 on AP Japanese and also took Japanese 1 through 4 at my school, I understand both how to learn efficiently and where students usually struggle specifically.
I want my typical lesson to be both fun while engaging to learn, where I also adapt lessons based on your goals (whether you're preparing for a class, or just learning for fun)
I think learning a language is just like building muscle; if you don't train, the vocabulary won't stick in your head.
