About Elias
French can be a difficult language, even for native speakers such as myself. The lack of similarity to the English language and the introduction of several new grammatical concepts, such as noun gender, subject-specific conjugation, and accents, can often feel overwhelming. As a young adult, I also know that traditional teaching methods don't always work. It is impossible to tailor the topic to every individual student in a large classroom setting. This is why tutoring can make a huge difference. Whether you are having specific issues or just want to expand your current knowledge, I am ready to aid you in reaching your personal goals.

My teaching method varies by the student's end goals. If their preference is to hone oral skills and comprehension, I will focus more on the diction, pronunciation, and different speech styles to become comfortable holding a conversation. If the student's preference is to become proficient in writing in the French language, I will focus more on grammar, vocabulary, and how to formulate different types of communication, such as a professional e-mail or a letter to a friend. I have instructed many people in this subject, from primary school children learning as beginners to helping my college-level French professor in correcting diction, answering classroom questions, and tweaking vocabulary with great success.
