About Mahie

I'm a design student with a strong academic foundation in English. My passion for the subject has stayed with me over the years and I’m excited to carry it forward by teaching on this platform. I enjoy meeting enthusiastic learners of all ages and believe that every class is an opportunity to grow, share knowledge and make learning fun. I aim to spark curiosity and build a strong understanding of English in everyday communication - both writing and speaking. I also prep students from 5th- 12th grade for their school exams and conduct specialized classes for English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL for abroad studies.

About the lesson

I believe that learning English should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student's needs. My teaching methods blend interactive activities with real-life applications to make lessons meaningful and enjoyable. I use storytelling, visual aids, role-playing, and multimedia tools to create an immersive learning experience that builds confidence and clarity.

Each class begins with a short warm-up or revision of previous concepts, followed by a focused lesson on a new topic—be it grammar, vocabulary, speaking or writing. We then engage in interactive exercises or discussions to practice the concept, and end with a quick recap or assignment to reinforce learning.

I personalize lessons based on the learner’s goals and learning style.

I focus on building strong communication skills along with grammar.

I foster a supportive, encouraging space where students feel confident making mistakes and learning from them.

I incorporate real-world topics and current events to make lessons more relatable.

I'm patient, approachable, and adapt my pace based on the student’s comfort.

My classes are open to school children, college students, working professionals, homemakers and senior citizens—anyone looking to improve their English for academics, career growth, travel or personal enrichment.
