About Adam
My math teaching experience dates back to when I was a student in high school. I prefer to work with people who truly struggle to learn math and enjoy seeing them excel. I take pride in helping my students succeed, and love to hear when they have obtained their goals.
Additionally, I also enjoy being challenged by advanced mathematics that forces me to remain fresh on the more difficult courses that require theory and analysis.
Being a college math tutor for all types of students, I feel my diverse background affords me the opportunity to make a difference in a person's life who is struggling. I too have struggled in a college math class before, but I gained an appreciation for what it takes to overcome those challenges, and sometimes it is as simple as stepping away and grabbing a shower or nap before the epiphany strikes.

My math teaching philosophy involves breaking down the content matter into a simplistic and understandable subject matter that allows the student to better grasp the more difficult concepts and challenges they are facing. I successfully helped numerous developmental, intermediate, and advanced students in athletes part-time as a math tutor at Sam Houston State University.

Details
Please cancel lessons with at least 24-hours notice. The first short-notice cancelation will be forgiven, but subsequent cancelations, less than 24-hours, will cost one hour of tutoring ($19) per occurrence. The client and I reserve the right to discontinue the teaching relationship at any time. Payment is due at the time of service.
