About Austin
I started performing guitar at age 9 and am self-taught.
I have only taught a handful of students locally and am looking to expand my horizons.
I was given the ability to play at venues in St. Louis, Branson, Memphis, and San Antonio.
During High School I performed at a State Tournament for Spanish subjects; I performed a rendition of "Oye Como Va" and we were able to take first place in the state.

I believe that the teacher can only provide so much when it comes to performing music. I tend to provide my students with the applicable material, suggestions on how to improve the pattern and what types of songs the patterns can be used in.
I urge my students to practice the material presented and the playing will come with time and patience. Being patient is something I stress to all students because even when I was beginning to play, the frustration with not being able to perform the song I wanted to perform would get to me.
I feel like frustration is something that tends to deter hopeful musicians from pursuing their dreams and this is something I try to take out of early learning students.
