About Pernille
I am an international student from Norway finishing my degree in Master of Science (Biotechnology) at UOW in June. I I have completed a science-based teaching degree for high school and uni level, in Norway. The last 3 years in Norway, before I moved here, I have experience from teaching all age-students, for example from work placement in a high school or from my previous job as a private biology and math's tutor (in the students' age ranging from 13 to 18). I am passionate about biology and very motivated to inspire students to achieve high knowledge and excellent marks in their science education.

My teaching method is individualised based on the student's learning style and needs. Because human beings are highly visual learners, I use powerpoint presentations and short videos to vary the delivery methods of the content. My approach is also to activate the students via different activities and encourage dialogues and critical discussions. This is because I believe more learning happens when a dialogue is formed different rather than a just a long teacher monologue.
