About Amelie
Hi! My name’s Amelie and I’m a 20-year-old Biomedical Science student at the University of Sheffield. I have a love of science, outdoor sports such as rock climbing, and art. I’ve been tutoring for 3 years, and have further experience working in schools and nurseries with children aged 6 months-17 years.

During my 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons I focus on working with the student’s strengths to break down difficult topics or questions into easy, bite-size chunks. I specialise in STEM subjects for those aged 11-18 and have up-to-date knowledge on Edexcel, AQA and OCR curricula and mark schemes for GCSE and A Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I encourage active, applied learning, rather than straight memorisation, because it’s been proven that achieving top grades is easier when the student has a genuine interest and understanding of the content.
