About Kaviduni
Hi, I’m Kaviduni—a Biomedical Science graduate from St George’s University of London with Honours in Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience. I first began tutoring as a peer mentor in secondary school, and ever since then, I’ve been passionate about helping others learn and grow in a way that suits them. Having recently completed my degree, I understand what it’s like to be on the student side of things. That perspective helps me connect with my learners and create a space that feels structured yet supportive. I believe education should focus on the whole individual—not just marks—so I blend academic guidance with patience, encouragement, and clarity. I’ve worked with students aged 5 to 18 across a wide range of subjects and academic stages. I currently offer online tutoring in 11+, GCSE English, Maths, Sciences, and Psychology, with A-Level tuition available for Biology and Psychology. Outside of tutoring, I volunteer at Springfield Hospital’s acute psychiatric ward and have also worked with the Teddy Bear Hospital society, visiting primary schools to teach children about hospital care and reduce medical anxiety. These experiences have shaped the calm, thoughtful approach I bring to every lesson. If you’re looking for someone who understands the student mindset but leads with clarity and calm—I’d love to support your journey.

As a Biomedical Science graduate with Honours in Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style, with clear objectives set from the beginning to guide our progress. My sessions are interactive and student-led, using active learning techniques and regular questioning to build understanding and engagement. I prepare each lesson in advance with the individual’s needs in mind, combining clear explanations with exam-style questions to develop both subject knowledge and exam confidence. I also teach practical study methods, provide revision materials where helpful, and adapt my style as the student grows. I’ve worked with students preparing for 11+, GCSEs, and A-Levels, and I’m committed to making lessons both productive and encouraging. Sessions usually last an hour but can be adjusted based on focus, comfort, and personal requirements.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Kaviduni was my maths mentor during a time I was struggling to grasp some topics in GCSE. She was incredibly patient and explained things at a pace that made sense for me. She often used step-by-step demonstrations, which really helped things click. What I appreciated most was how she took the time to understand how I learn and adjusted her approach to suit that. She's calm, easy to talk to, and genuinely supportive.
I’ve known Kaviduni for over 10 years and have seen her teach and support others in both academic and informal settings. She’s always well-prepared, tailors her explanations to the person, and asks thoughtful questions to make sure they’ve understood. She’s patient and considerate, and doesn’t overload the student—she knows how to break things down clearly and pace the session to suit them.
