About Cayla
Hi there! I am a dedicated, compassionate, and academically strong tutor. I have a background in social work and biomedical sciences (currently completing) both at a distinction level.
I have over two years of practical experience working with students through au pairing and aftercare support. I have assisted with homework, test preparation, revision planning, and study skills. I am comfortable working with a range of ages and learning levels. My approach is to always meet a student where they are and instill confidence in themselves.

My approach to tutoring is based on building a strong understanding of concepts, improving confidence, and developing effective study techniques for each student.
Science and math are daunting subjects and can often feel overwhelming, and that's why it is important to have a deeper understanding of the "why" behind the work. My history as a high achiever in both social work and biomedical sciences allows me to address not only the work at hand but also the emotions of each student.
All lessons are conducted in English.
Typically, lessons review and reinforce the content learned at school. The content is then broken down into simpler parts. Practice questions are then worked through to ensure a concept has been better understood.
My lessons are aimed specifically at high school students, but I do also cater to general academic support for primary school students.
Overall, my goal is to help students improve their marks but also equip them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed independently.
