About Mark
I’m a Biomedical Engineering student at Duke University with a strong background in STEM and a passion for helping others succeed. I’ve dedicated over 250 hours to tutoring students in biology, chemistry, physics, and advanced math, and I love finding ways to make complex ideas click. Outside the classroom, I serve on the executive board of Best Buddies, volunteer with Special Olympics, and compete with Duke’s Club Pickleball Team. These experiences have taught me the value of patience, empathy, and teamwork. I show up prepared, motivated, and excited to help students reach their goals.

I’m a freshman at Duke University studying Biomedical Engineering, and I’ve completed over 250 hours of tutoring. I focus on making learning approachable by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. My sessions are personalized, interactive, and built around each student’s needs. I usually start with a quick review, then introduce new material with examples and guided practice. I tutor students of all ages and learning styles, especially in subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, and calculus. I’m patient, encouraging, and always focused on helping students build confidence and truly understand what they’re learning.
