About James

Hi there, My name is James. I am 21 years old and currently studying Psychology in London. I have previously done a degree in Biomedical Science as well as Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to A-level. I have been a private tutor for over 3 years to several students who have become much more confident in their sciences. Many people will think that I would be too young to help but being close to students' ages allows them to see their subjects from a younger tutor's perspective as I did the exams that they are sitting recently.

About the lesson

I am a charismatic individual who looks to help students to understand the complexity that revolves around science. Making science easy to understand is the key to helping students to thrive in the sciences. Whilst most of my students have been GCSE students, I am happy to tutor introductory science to younger students up to the transition between GCSE and A-level.

Due to COVID-19, I am no longer providing tutor sessions at home, however, I can guarantee that there is no drop in quality between in-person and online sessions. With regard to cancelling a lesson, I do ask that 24 hours notice is given and no payment is required. If this is not possible, I would ask for notice as soon as possible and the fee for the lesson planned will still be paid.
