Hello! I’m Monica, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals in math, general chemistry, and science. I have a Bachelor of Science. Whether you’re struggling with foundational concepts or looking for advanced insights, I’ve got the knowledge and experience to guide you. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and my goal is to help you realize that potential by fostering a deep understanding of the material. I focus on what works best for you. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to meet your specific needs. I don’t believe in passive learning. My lessons involve a combination of explanation, questioning, problem-solving, and interactive discussions. We’ll begin with a brief review of previous material or address any questions you may have from previous lessons. If the topic is new, I’ll introduce the key concepts and objectives for the lesson. I’ll explain the concepts in detail, using examples and visual aids where appropriate. During this time, you’ll be encouraged to ask questions, and I’ll adjust my explanations based on your response. You’ll apply what you learned through practice problems or exercises on your own. I’ll offer assistance as needed. We'll review key takeaways from the lesson, clarify any lingering questions, and set goals for the next session. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I don’t just teach the material; I teach you how to learn. By helping you develop effective study strategies, time management skills, and a growth mindset, I aim to make you an independent learner. My lessons are designed for students at the high school and the college level (introductory).
