About Eleanor
I hope to improve the writing and reading of all of those around me. Language is the greatest form of expression and words are a tool which helps clarify meaning. As a tutor, I would help to inspire and emphasize the thoughts that others want to express. More importantly than expression, I want to help others improve their self-reflection, by improving the words they use and how they use them.

I like to use flashcards and practice problems on whiteboards to test what the student needs the most help on. I look for nonverbal cues to understand what needs to be retaught or explained in a different way. High school students with English as their first language would be easiest to teach. However, those who don't speak English very well could learn well under my teaching environment with my patience and attention to detail.
