About Rabia Barsi

"My Goal: I don't just want to be your tutor for a semester; I want to be the reason you never fear a complex challenge again. I measure my success by the 'Aha!' moments we share and the confidence you carry into your future career."

About the lesson

My Approach to Biology: Making the Complex Intuitive
My Teaching Method & Techniques I move away from dry, rote memorization. My method is built on Conceptual Mapping and The Feynman Technique (teaching a concept back to me in simple terms). I use:

Visual Storytelling: I use digital whiteboards and diagrams to show how systems interact.

Active Recall: We start every session with a 5-minute "brain dump" of the previous lesson to strengthen long-term memory.

Analogies: I explain cellular processes by comparing them to real-world scenarios (e.g., the cell as a busy city or DNA as a blueprint).

A Typical Lesson Plan I structure my 60-minute sessions to maximize engagement:

The Hook (5 mins): A fascinating "Did you know?" fact or a real-world news story related to the day's topic.

Concept Deep-Dive (25 mins): Breaking down the core theory using interactive visuals.

Active Practice (20 mins): Solving past paper questions or "Applying the Science" to a hypothetical scenario.

The Summary (10 mins): We co-create a "One-Page Cheat Sheet" for your revision folder.

What Sets Me Apart I don’t just teach the "what"—I teach the "how." Most students struggle because they don't know how to study science. I provide my students with bespoke study schedules and memory hacks that I used to master the subject myself. I treat Biology as a logical puzzle rather than a list of facts to be memorized.

Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are designed for everyone, specifically adapted for:

Primary/Middle School: Building a "Science Spark" and curiosity about the natural world.

High School (GCSE, A-Level, IB, AP): Rigorous exam preparation and mastering mark schemes.

University Level: Specialist support in Genetics, Physiology, and Microbiology for degree-level students.

Adult Learners: Curious minds looking to understand health, genetics, or the environment.
