About Clay
My interest in Biology started with a deep appreciation for nature and environmental systems. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, I earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Biology. During the past 8 years, I have supported students in building strong scientific understanding and confidence.
I believe every learner benefits from a teaching approach that is supportive and flexible. My lessons focus on clear explanations, practical understanding, and encouraging students to think independently. I enjoy helping learners discover their strengths and improve steadily.
Outside teaching, I spend time reading about conservation efforts, ecological research, and advances in life sciences. These interests help me bring relevant examples into lessons. Seeing students become more curious and engaged with Biology is one of the highlights of my career.

My Biology lessons focus on helping students understand the living world through observation, reasoning, and meaningful connections between concepts. We cover genetics, ecology, cell biology, human systems, biodiversity, and evolution using simple language and engaging examples. I encourage learners to think about how biological processes influence everyday life.
Lessons are carefully planned to match the student's academic needs and pace. Through visual resources, discussions, activities, and practice questions, students strengthen both knowledge and critical-thinking skills. Each session is designed to make learning organised, effective, and enjoyable.
I strive to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. As confidence develops, learners become better at analysing information and understanding complex biological relationships. My goal is to help students become independent and successful learners.
