About Naomi
My passion for biology was sparked by observing the diversity and complexity of living organisms. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Molecular Biology followed by an M.Sc in Biotechnology, giving me both theoretical expertise and practical laboratory experience. Over 9 years, I have taught students ranging from beginners to advanced learners, helping them develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep appreciation for biology.
I teach using a patient, structured approach that emphasises clarity and hands-on learning. My lessons integrate real-world examples, guided practice, and interactive discussions to help students internalise concepts and develop confidence. I encourage curiosity, independent exploration, and active participation, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated.
Outside teaching, I remain involved in research projects, scientific literature, and laboratory experiments. This engagement allows me to bring current developments and practical insights into my lessons. Witnessing students grow from uncertainty to understanding, developing both skills and enthusiasm for biology, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Biology is a captivating journey into the mechanisms of life, and my lessons focus on making these complex systems engaging and intuitive. Students explore genetics, cellular processes, physiology, and ecology through hands-on activities, visualisations, and real-world examples. Each lesson emphasises conceptual understanding over memorisation, encouraging students to ask questions, analyse patterns, and develop critical thinking skills. By linking theoretical concepts to practical applications, learners build both confidence and curiosity in the life sciences.
Lesson plans are personalised for every student. Beginners focus on cell structure, basic genetics, and ecosystem basics, laying a solid foundation. Intermediate learners explore molecular biology, physiology, and population dynamics, deepening analytical reasoning and understanding. Advanced learners engage with experimental design, bioinformatics, and applied research topics, fostering independent problem-solving and scientific thinking. Exercises, discussions, and guided observation are integrated into each session to ensure comprehension and retention.
