About Raul

I have an AS in Math & Science, Bachelor's in Biology and not important but Certified as an EMT-B. I have worked in all the tutoring centers that both of my colleges had. I worked with school districts as a teacher assistant, substitute teacher, suspended-student tutor. I would be requested by teachers to sub their specific classes since I was knowledgeable in almost every subject. I also like to do art, play nerdy games, and have fun.

About the lesson

High School: I try to determine if there are core lessons that were missed in previous years. Many students just require some remediation to increase the current year's grades.

College: College moves at a faster pace so we will be working ASAP. You will have to send me the material you're currently studying along with one or more previous quizzes/tests.

I have a knack of knowing when the current material isn't working well for my students. Some school teachers teach one way to do math, but math has many ways of getting to the correct answer. Sometimes, learning a different way allows a student to understand the school teacher's way.

My Rate starts at 80/hr (I have set it at 60/hr on purpose). Will increase based on difficulty and time I need to spend outside the sessions to better help the student. I also offer discount rate depending on financial needs, and only for a percentage of my work week.
