About Jessica

I have been tutoring for just over 2 years now and I am slowly building up my profile. I've given over 100 lessons now as I have tutored over 20 children. My students are of a range of abilities and they have all managed to achieve the grades that they wanted to. I have had many grade 8s and 9s with children exceeding their predicted grades in both French and Biology. I managed to achieve 100% on one section of my oral and 98% on the other, I am very comfortable with speaking French as I have been learning it for 8 years now. My teaching style varies as it depends on who I am teaching, I am able to recognise that everyone has a different way of learning.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to see what works best for the student. Personally, I learn by seeing things that are written down, however I once had a boy who learnt by just doing questions, everyone is different. I tend to tutor students that are in years 11-13 because I find that we get on very well and I can sympathise with their situations best. I understand what it is like to be under that much pressure as I myself have been in that position. In my lessons, if you have a problem that you would like to tackle then I am happy to start there. I will always make sure that you fully understand what your exam board expects from you and what you therefore need to know. I have tutored students studying on AQA and EDEXCEL, most of the exam boards are very similar and so I would be happy to tutor someone studying on the OCR exam board. All of my exams were for AQA and that is what I am most comfortable with. I am a very bubbly person with a lot of energy and I am always willing to help people. I am not new to tutoring and my students have a lot of confidence that I will get them where they need to be- so far I have been successful with all my students. We've worked together really well and I am so pleased with the results that we've had. I'm a young person and I feel like that can be very helpful sometimes because I really understand what it's like to be under pressure in the society that we live in today and I can assure you that you are not alone.
