Zuyi is a very engaged and adaptable tutor. I already had a foundation in Chinese language, but her tutition has dramatically improved both my reading comprehension and my pronounciation. Zuyi tailors lessons to your needs which I found particularly helpful as she was able to recommend lots of articles and short stories to improve. Her lessons fun and fly past because she's so passionate about what she does and she never makes me feel foolish for making a mistake.

One thing which sets Zuyi apart from other tutors is she listens. She's somebody who, if you don't understand something, is very good at explaining it in a different way which makes it comprehensible. I've found this to be a very rare quality in tutors and I highly recommend her.

Zu is an engaging and friendly tutor! She taught me some conversational Chinese, information about various Chinese cultures, histories and folklores! I have plans to travel through China next year, and Zu's tutelage has made the trip seem less daunting! I cannot wait to test out my Chinese during my journey!

As work required a lot of travel to China, I thought it would be prudent to learn some Mandarin. Unfortunately it turns out I should have been taking Cantonese lessons. Oh well it’s still been a great learning experience. Zu is very patient and fun to learn with.
