About Kathy

I’ll meet you where you are and give you clear, practical guidance every step of the way. As an experienced educator and singer-songwriter, I bring both teaching experience and real-world musicianship into every lesson. I don’t just explain concepts. I demonstrate how they’re used in songwriting, performance, and everyday playing so you can build skills that last. You’ll learn in a positive, respectful, and judgment-free environment where questions are always encouraged. I believe mistakes are part of the learning process, and my goal is to help you grow with confidence, consistency, and enjoyment. I value professionalism, punctuality, preparation, and communication. When you schedule a lesson with me, you can expect someone who is dependable, invested in your success, and committed to helping you become the musician you want to be.

About the lesson

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to grow as an artist, my lessons are built around your goals. If you want to play your favorite songs, write your own music, sing while you play, improve your rhythm, or gain confidence performing, I’ll help you get there step by step. Guitar isn’t just an instrument to me…it’s a way to tell stories, express emotions, and connect with people. That’s the perspective I bring into every lesson.
I believe everyone learns differently, so I don’t force students into a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I adapt my teaching style to fit your pace, interests, and musical taste, creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and enjoyable.
My goal isn’t just to teach you chords and scales. I want to help you understand music, develop your creativity, and build the confidence to play the songs you love.
